Shortly after Graduating High School Robert Enlisted in the Military where he served our country in the United States Air Force. Robert served in the Korean War. He became a Captain in the entertainment and personnel division. While in the USAF he trained a singing group called the Quintones. They went on to win 2nd place overall in the Air Force Singing Competition.
After serving 5 years in the USAF Robert became a professional musician/pianist and graduated from Juilliard in 1963 where he earned his doctorate in Musical Arts.
Robert then settled in Apple Valley where he spent 18 years with the Apple Valley School District as an Elementary School Music Teacher. He retired as one of the top 100 Music Teachers Nationwide.
Captain Robert Sprague has also been named as the Veteran of the Month with the VFW!
Captain Robert Sprague will be laid to rest with Honors at Riverside National Cemetery
