Roger L. Larson

November 7, 2019, after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov 18, at St. Joseph’s Catholic

Church, 505 E. Mountain View, Barstow, CA with a Rosary at 10 am followed

by a Mass at 11 am. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery at 1230 pm.

Roger was born October 30, 1936 in Lake Mills, Iowa to Harland and Stella(Honsey) Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at Silver Lake Lutheran Church, rural Northwood, IA.

Roger graduated in 1954 from Emmons (MN) High School. He worked for

the City of Albert Lea in the utility department for five years.

He was drafted into the Army on Nov. 12, 1959 and was honorably

discharged in 1962 which brought him to Monterey, CA.

Roger moved to Barstow, CA in 1963 where he met the love of his life, Gabina. Roger and Gabina were married May 1965 in Barstow where they raised their family and spent the rest of their married lives together in Barstow.

Roger held various jobs in the area retiring from Johnson Controls, National Training Center and Fort Irwin, CA as a maintenance mechanic.

Roger is survived by his wife, Gabina, three children, Kathleen (Paul)

Borruel, Kristine Chavez, Steven Larson (Kathleen Hood), son-in-law,

Larry T. Graves, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Jim Cox, Lake Havasu, AZ, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harland and Stella Larson, a

daughter, Sandra Graves, sister, Sharon Larson Seedorf and brother-in-law,Gary Seedorf.
