He was born March 23rd, 1923 in Lake Station, Michigan, was one of 9 sibilings, & at one time was an ordained minister of the United Brethern Church in Colfax Michigan.
Grandpop was an amazing man, there are so many wonderful things to say of him, he was a person who just radiated unconditional love.
He always told jokes that weren't haha, laugh at funny but more like stories that made u smile.
I always admired his wisdom & how he could answer a question, or give advice, with various perspectives all rolled into one.
For example, he would give a common sense answer, a religious or biblical answer & a scholarly answer too.
I always felt as if my questions had really been heard by him & the answers I sought were completely clear to me afterwards.
I always felt as if he was completely accepting of any person or any situation, he was non judgmental & you'd get this feeling that he was a main participant even if he was barely an observer...as if he took it all to heart, took it as serious as if it was him or his issue at hand.
I can't think of a time where he seemed upset or angry, at the most he would laugh about his upset or disagreement.
When I think of grandpop I think of calm, easy-going, laid back & a sense of ease.
I don't think anyone ever disliked him, in fact so many loved him dearly.
Our hearts are heavy right now as a wonderful person of such great example has left this world, but we all are comforted knowing he is with his Lord now, free of pain or suffering.
Rest in love grandpop, we will never forget you or the love you gave.
Peace & comfort to our family & all his friends in this difficult time.
