Lenore Schattman

Lenore (Rona) Goldstein Schattman, 89, passed away the afternoon of July 21, peacefully at home after a year long battle with leukemia. Rona attended Mills College for Education. Born in 1935, the youngest of three children to George and Matilda Goldstein. Rona is survived by her four children, Karin (Richard), Andrew (Victoria), Glenn (Claudia) and Spencer (Sandra), their 16 grandchildren, Gregory (Kelly), Nicole, Emilie (Griffin), Kasey (Timothy), Dylan, Sam, Ayden, Perry, Ben, Julian, Ioannis, Eleni, Sasha, Yorgia , Fotini, and Brandon, and 2 great granddaughters, Olivia and Poppy. Her husband, Ira (Buddy), her parents and her brothers, Stewart and Howard (Barbara), predeceased. Rona, a retired real estate broker, enjoyed traveling, especially with her husband, knitting and playing cards with her friends. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family at every important event in their lives, including attending her granddaughter's wedding just six weeks ago. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
