I will always remember Lester saying the motzi and cutting the challah at so many UJA luncheons. He always did this with dignity, pride, and love. One year, when Lester was unavailable, I was asked to fill in for him, the first woman to chant the blessing at a UJA neckwear division luncheon. His were big shoes to fill and I didn't come close to filling them, but I felt honored to be asked.
Lester, you were a class act and will be greatly missed.
