Dr. Rudansky was one of my husband's doctors when, at 23 yrs old, he was diagnosed cancer. My husband, retired FDNY, died this July at the age 57 from a second primary cancer due to toxins inhaled at ground zero. I will, and always have, thanked God for Dr. Rudansky and the other doctors who gave me 34 more years together with my husband. My condolences and sympathies to all of his family, friends and colleagues.

"my deepest sympathies to the rudansky family. i was so sadden by the sudden passing of dear dr rudansky. he was a remarkable human being who touched so many lives especially mine.  i first met him when i was a staff nurse caring for his patients.  he was an extremely thorough surgeon and every detail must be followed. it was excellent care for  his patients but very hard on me as the nurse.   he was a  doctor who you never wanted to disappoint because his patients were number one to him.
i worked with him again years later when i was  in CDMP and case management and that was one of the luckiest days of my life because i was about to work with him again and get to know the real sheldon rudansky.   he was the  kindness, smartest, sweetest and most dedicated man in the world.  collaborating with him was an honor and a privilege and a blessing.   he had a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that was contagious.  we shared so many stories, jokes, laughter, and even working on medical patient reviews.  he taught me so much but also appreciated what i could teach him. he was open minded and always willing to accept change and everybody loved him. we have truly lost a bright star in our lives.  i would kid  with him that God personally created him because one day God would need  medical care and he wanted the best.  well,  i guess God needed him now.  i will miss him dearly but he will live on forever in my heart.   thank you for sharing him with us at winthrop"

Dear Sam and Charles,
I was very saddened to get word of your father's passing.  Although I didn't really know your father personally, I do remember how much love and respect he had from you that was obvious whenever you spoke about him.  I also remember the exceptional hachnasas orchim at their home in Garden City when you had a bunch of us over for a BBQ many years ago.
May his memory serve as a blessing and may you know from no more such sorrow.
