Alfred Hiram Mills Sr. age 78 of Hammond, IN passed away August 24, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Nancy; four sons: Alfred H. Mills Jr., George M. (Starla) Mills, Carl A. (Carol) Mills, Lester B. Mills; step- daughter: Debbie (Tom) Coichki; two step-sons: George (Marge) Schoonover, James Chery) Schoonover; daughter- in-law Denise, 27 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, preceded in death by his son Alvah K. Mills, grandson Joseph Mills, three brothers Funeral services will be held Friday August 29, 2014 10:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.) Highland, IN, Randy Harrison, Minister officiating, burial Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Alfred retired from Ford Motor Company with 35 years of service; member of the Masonic Lodge 785 was a pasted Worshiper Master of Lodge 785, president of Sam's Indiana RV Club.
