She is survived by her siblings, Cindy (Don) Wilickas, Kathy Pierson, Bernard (Susan) Bernacki, Jr., and Bernice Koscielniak; her nephews, Chris (Laura) Wilickas, and Kevin Wilickas; her niece, Emily Pierson; great-nephew, Gabriel Wilickas; and many cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Mihalo; and her parents Bernard, and Angeline Bernacki.
A closed casket funeral service for Bernadette will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crown Point, IN.
