Chris loved music and over the course of his life was a member of the Hammond High School Band, choir at South Side Christian Church (Munster, IN), and choir at Elmbrook Church (Brookfield, WI).
He led an adult Sunday School class at South Side Christian Church for over 10 years where he also served as a deacon. He served on a prison ministry team at Elmbrook Church where he often shared his testimony with hopes of helping the incarcerated find Christ.
Chris loved coaching his children’s baseball and basketball teams. He coached for over 10 years and helped hundreds of kids develop and enjoy youth sports. He also served as President for Munster Babe Ruth.
He worked in the car business for the majority of his career at dealerships in the Chicagoland area and greater Milwaukee area where he held a variety of roles including sales, finance manager, and sales manager. In retirement, he worked part time as a substitute teacher at Munster High School where he enjoyed supporting student learning.
Chris was the recipient of both a kidney and heart transplant. Having experienced the blessing of organ donation, the family would like to encourage everyone to consider updating their organ donor election status, if they are so moved.
