Edward E. Nowakowski, age 91, of Highland, IN passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Franciscan St. Margaret's Hospital, Dyer, IN. He is survived by sister-in-law, Evelyn Nowakowski of Highland, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Louis and Louise Nowakowski; brothers: Eugene, Raymond and Harry; sisters: Dolores Browning and Alvina Nowakowski. Edward was retired from Standard Oil of Indiana. He proudly served his country in WWII in the U.S. Army. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3025 Highway Ave., Highland, IN with Rev. Edward Moszur officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Friends are invited to meet with the family Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 9:30 a.m-10:30 a.m. (time of service) at the church.
