Eligarda “Gigi” Hartnett age 64 passed away peacefully at Community Hospital in Munster Indiana on Tuesday June 2, 2020. Gigi was born April 10, 1956, on the island of Leyte in the Philippines. As a lifetime member of A.B.A.T.E. and a Member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles, she loved motorcycles and all things Harley Davidson. Gigi also had another love, M&M's. She was known affectionately as the M&M lady and had accrued quite an extensive an impressive collection over the years. Anyone who knew Gigi knew that she loved to cook and would never let you go hungry. If you came to her house you were leaving with a full belly. Her home was always open to those in need and she would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. Gigi had a kind soul and an extremely giving spirit. She had an outgoing and tenacious personality that would infect others around her and she was always wearing a smile no matter what was happening around her. Gigi loved her family fiercely and she was loved back with the same intensity by those who were close to her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Gigi is survived by her Fiance Joe Flores; son John Farris, daughter-in-law, Ashley Farris and Grandchildren Ellie Farris, Olivia Farris and Tristan “Sammy” Farris. She is deeply loved and will be severely missed.
