Florence L. Strickland

Florence was born May 7, 1918 and was raised in Hammond, IN. She attended Hammond High School. Florence also lived in Clearwater, FL with her husband John Strickland for 30 years. From there they traveled the world to Europe, Asia and Africa, and she was able to go on 38 cruises. A couple of cruises with her only son Dayle Wright (Linda).

Florence moved back to Munster, IN 16 years ago to be close to family.

She was preceded in death by parents: Mary DeJong and Fred Frank; brother Bill Frank; step daughter Sandra Strickland; granddaughter Patricia Wright; and husband John Strickland of 55 years.

Florence is survived by son Dayle J. (Linda) Wright; three granddaughters: Pamela (Jack) Jabrosky, Patti Wright and Paula (Kevin) Lueder; five great grandchildren: Kyle (Delaney) Cassady, Matthew, Aaron,

Melissa Cassady and Zachary Lueder.

Arrangements entrusted to Kuiper Funeral Home. As requested by Florence, private family services were held at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Florence’s loving memory to Plum Creek Christian Academy, 1300 Calumet Avenue, Dyer, IN 46311.
