Fred would always visit George whenever
he was sick at home or in the hospital.
Fred replaced our garage door in Florida even tho he was in pain because he needed hip surgery.  He was
a good friend and we will miss him.

"To know him is to love him", hits the nail on the head with Freddie. A great man from the Omni crowd of 35 years ago where I met a group of important lifelong friends. Fred was a good man and father, and Roz & I are proud to have known him.

Fred was a giver! I remember him riding the lawnmower at Munster Nazarene.
   I was asked by Fred if I wanted to help the "chain gang" at Highland high school during my son Ryan's senior year. That was a treat! Thanks Fred. You were a pleasure to know!

Uncle Freddie was such a wonderful patriarch for our family.  We loved having him and Aunt Janet as hosts for our big family New Year's Day Christmas parties for many, many years.  If there was a summer family picnic or graduation party you know he was sure to be there.    Our boys will never forget their standing joke with Uncle Freddie – “What's worse than a hurricane?”  It was their cue to start running or you better cross your arms over your chest. He was greatly loved and will truly be missed.

Fred always had a joke for us when he came to the Post Office, he always made us laugh.  I always told him he was working to hard in his yard and he should slow down, but he never did. I will always remember Freddy's leadership in Munster First Church of the Nazarene. He led our church youth group with enthusiasm.  Fred and his wife Janet, would often sign duets at church.  I loved to hear him laugh because it reminded me so of my brothers.  Fred was a close friend of my brother Bruce, and we often spoke of their times together.  Freddy made an indelible impression on my life and I will always be grateful for his testimony.  Thinking of Janet and the extended family and keep you in my prayers.

Freddie was always in good spirit.  Always making you laugh when you didn't really feel like laughing.  I will always remember how he needed help picking up some supplies.  I drove a van that had a stick on the column.  Never drove with one, but he taught me.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Freddie will be missed dearly. He always had a laugh and a twinkle in his eye. one of the best story tellers. His zest and enthusiasm for life was contagious! He is part of Highland's fabric and history. Freddie you are always in our hearts. Prayers for family and friends during this time of healing.

He was the most enjoyable man I knew, growing up at the Munster Church of the Nazarene.  I'll always remember him for teaching me how to use a stick shift on the column of a van when I ran a errand for him.  My prayers go out to the entire family.

Janet  my thoughts and prayers are with you! Fred was a good friend and a great ugh he will be missed sorry I won't be able to pay our respects as we will be busy as you know with Dads funeral. But know our thoughts are with you, Scotti and the rest.

Fred was one of the friendliest and open persons I've ever known. Always quick with a joke. A fair and honest businessman.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Growing up with the Phillips Clan, I have so many wonderful memories, especially when Freddie took over management of the teen youth of the church!  Whether it was attending the All-Night Sings in Chicago, or traveling down to the Gaithers' farm, His message was made very clear through a man who had traveled before us.  I know you, all, will miss him dearly! Hugs & prayers for all.
