Geraldine “Gerry” (nee Stammis) Sjoerdsma, age 83, of Crown Point passed away Wednesday March 20, 2013. She is survived by three sons Larry Sjoerdsma of Crown Point, Ronald Sjoerdsma of Dyer, and James Sjoerdsma of Crown Point; three daughters Dianne (Peter) Feikema of Schererville, Marcia (Daniel) Lamprecht of Cedar Lake, Donna Sjoerdsma of Crown Point; grandchildren Bradley, Melanie (Eric) Frost, Keith and Kathryn; great grandchildren Brenna, Nathan and Aubrey; sister Janet (Mark) O’Connell of New York; brothers Bernard (Betty) Stammis of Crown Point, George Stammis of Highland, William (Jan) Stammis of Griffith and Tom Stammis of Griffith; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Harry and brothers Arnold, John and Martin. Funeral services will be held on Monday March 25, 2013 at 11 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland with Pastor Phil Humber officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 9-11 AM (time of service). Burial will be at Memory Lane Memorial Park. Geraldine attended Lake Hills Baptist Church. Memorials may be given to the Lake Hills Volunteer Fire Department for their continual medical support to Geraldine and her family.
