Gloria R. Kaiser Ward

Gloria R. Ward (nee Kaiser), age 76, of Griffith, passed away January 11, 2011. She is survived by her three sons: Jim (Rebecca) Ward of Seymour, IN, Jeff (Emily) Ward of Highland, and Scott Ward of Knox; five grandchildren: Chris (Josh) Mathews of GA, Ashley (Joseph) Sharrar of MI, Brittany Ward of Valparaiso, Dominique Ward and Natasha Schaffer, both of Knox; one sister-in-law: Kathryn Odle of Wheatfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ward in 1999. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Griffith (44th and Cline Ave.) with Dr. Rev. Randy McQueen officiating. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland. Gloria was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Griffith. She was a member of the Tri Kappa Society and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary (Post 66) in Griffith. She was formerly employed by Purdue University Calumet and Zandstra's Farm Market in Highland. Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
