Iesha Laquae Naomi Lockett

Iesha Laquae Naomi Lockett Iesha Lockett entered eternal rest on Friday, March 29, 2019. She was born in Hammond, IN on July 11, 1984. She is survived by her dear mother Ruby Lockett, fur baby Tinkerbell 'Tink' and a host of loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents: Joseph and Ola Mae Lockett; uncles Joseph Lockett Jr and Leslie Andre Lockett Sr. Iesha loved learning and graduated George Rogers Clark High School with distinct honors in 2002. She received certification in Computer Science (2004) and Accounting (2006) from Ivy Tech Community College. In 2013 she became a member of the International Dean's List Society. In 2016 she graduated from Purdue University with a BA in Spanish. Along with her academic achievements she was recognized for her outstanding academics by the Black Caucus of Faculty and Staff. She also recieved a Certificate of Appreciation from Amnesty International for her philanthropic work. Iesha loved Jesus and sharing His love with all who she met. She had a special ministry of sending cards: birthday, anniversary or special occasion. If you have ever recieved a card from Iesha you felt loved and appreciated. We will all miss Iesha and cherish each precious memory. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland IN. A special thank you to Iesha's pastor, Pastor Todd Cosenza and Hope Church of Griffith. Thank you for all of your thoughtful prayers, encouraging words, and kind deeds.
