James Allen Akers

James was born in Gary, IN on July 26, 1957, to Clarence and Margie (Nelson) Akers.

James is survived by his four children, Leslie Wright, Amanda (Paul) Evans, Sarah Akers, and Jamie Akers; ten grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wright, Christopher Wright, Kimberly Wright, Charles (CJ) Wright, Gabriel Taylor, Isaiah Clark, Olivia Clark, Jordan London, Parker London, and Allyson London; and two great-grandchildren, Lilia and Ellie Sexton; sister, Sue Austin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved greatly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Margie; and his four brothers, Robert, William, Donald Akers, and Jerry Akers.

James loved spending time with his family, his dogs, and telling stories of when he was younger. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
