James Courtright, age 77, of Highland IN passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013. James is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marlene (nee Peterson); two sons: Larry (Ruth) Courtright of TN and Leonard (Pam) Courtright of TX; one daughter, Lorraine (Sam) Widdall of Highland; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Harry Courtright of CA; and one sister, Shirley (Scott) Spencer of AZ. Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Larry Courtright, will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM. James and Marlene were married on April 28, 1956 at the First Baptist Church in Hammond. James was a U.S. Army veteran and commander of the American Legion Post 180 In Highland.
