James Edward "Jimmy" Childers

James "Jimmy" Edward Childers, age 48, of Highland, IN passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014. He is survived by son, Alex (Holly) Childers; grandson, Carson Childers; mother, Eleanor Childers; three brothers: John (Kathy) Childers, Ronald C. (Paula) Childers and Robert Childers; two sisters: Mary (Joseph) Zaragoza and Carol Stanley; sister in law, Debbie Childers; and many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by father, Ronald C. Childers; and brother, Thomas Childers. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3025 Highway Ave., Highland, IN with Rev. Edward Moszur officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Memorial Park, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. (prayer service 4:30 p.m.) at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN. James was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church. He was currently employed with Kocsis Brothers Machining in East Chicago, IN with seven years of service.
