

Born on May 15, 1947, Janice lived a life marked by her steadfast faith and dedication to her family. She found her greatest joy in the roles of wife, mother, and grandmother, and her devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. Janice was known for her love of country and gospel music, a passion she often expressed through singing. Additionally, she was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Wayne Kemper; her son, Guy Kemper; and her son-in-law, James Short. She was also preceded by her parents, Ella and Robert Kirby, and her siblings, Robert Ray and Bertha May. She leaves behind a loving family, including her sister, Susie Tolle; her children, Jennifer Arcuri, Arthur Arcuri, Brenda Garza and her husband, Roy Garza, Jerry Stevens, Shane Kemper and his wife, Dusty Kemper, Donnie Kemper, Crystal Steelman and her husband, Joseph Steelman, Terrie Kemper, Terrie Calabrese and her husband, Brice Calabrese, Daija Clark, Tracy Clark, and Andre Clark; and her grandchildren, Daniel, Nick, Lilly, Tessa, Alisha, Andrew, Sara, Katelynn, BethAnn, Noah, Haylee, Tyler, Crystal, Cynthia, Brittany, Joey, Michael, and many more whom she took as her own. She also cherished 29 beautiful great-grandchildren. Most importantly, she had a deep love for the Lord.
A visitation for Janice will be held Saturday October 26, 2024 from 11:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322. Immediately following the service, Janice will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, in Crown Point.
