JERRY WAYNE DAVIS HAMMOND, IN Jerry Wayne Davis, age 56, of Hammond, IN passed away Friday, July 15, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary; mother, Faye Grundy of St. Charles, KY; three sons: Jeremy (Lisa) Davis of Rockford, IL, Chad (Blanca) Davis of Hammond and Matthew Davis of Valparaiso; six grandchildren: Blake, Donovan, Hanson, Sophia, Alex and Hannah; one brother, Kevin (Darlene) Grundy of White Plains, KY; one sister, Kathy (John) Lafoon of St. Charles, KY; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his father, Robert Grundy. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with Pastor Clemon Chappell Jr. officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Davis retired from Arcelor- Mittal Steel in East Chicago, IN with 31 years of service.
