John William Camery, Sr.

John is the loving husband to the late Shirley Camery, who preceded him in death in 2000; cherished father to John Camery, James Camery, and Paul (Marla) Camery; proud grandfather to John Camery, III, Christopher Camery, James Camery, Jr., Brian Camery, and Lilliana Heneghan; step-grandfather to Nathan Brown; great-grandfather to three; beloved brother to Robert (Denise) Camery, the late Archie Camery, and the late Ronnie Camery; uncle to many.

John honorably served in the United States Army, serving in Korea. He also honorably served in the United States Marine Corp Reserves. He retired after 45 years of faithful service at United States Steel. John's family is comforted in knowing that he and his wife, Shirley, are back together again, which John so richly believed in.

Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024 from 3:00-7:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10:30 am at Kuiper Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Calumet Park Cemetery.
