

Judith A. Flores (nee Lewandowski), age 75, of Hammond, IN passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016. She is survived by her four sons: Michael (Rebecca) Flores, Richard (Cynthia) Flores, Arthur (Amy) Flores Jr. MD and David John Flores MD; three daughters: Leslie Ann (Byron) Evans, Christine Bowman and Denise (Jesus) Ortiz; twenty grandchildren; one great grandson; three brothers: Thomas (Donna) Lewandowski, Philip (Irene) Lewandowski and Chester Lewandowski; one sister, Linda Eggers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Flores was preceded in death by her husbands: Arthur Flores and Clifford Grace; and parents: Matthew and Rose Lewandowski. Mrs. Flores was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in East Chicago, IN and was a member of the Holy Name Society. She was also a participant in the CRHP Retreat Program and a member of the KOC Wives. Judith was formerly employed at Inland Steel in East Chicago, IN. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and ceramics. Judith was a Times newspaper "cook of the week". She was also a girl scout and cub scout leader. Judith was a loyal friend to many people and will be dearly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Directly at St. Mary Catholic Church, 525 N. Broad St., Griffith, IN with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (prayer service 7:30 p.m.) at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.
