Kenneth Lee Pitts

Ken was born and raised in Hammond, IN, having graduated from Hammond Tech, to which he would proudly claim "Tiger Pride" if given the chance. He had a passion for sci-fi, technology and gadgets from a young age. A devoted family man, Ken dedicated his life to providing for his loved ones and caring deeply for his wife. After nearly overcoming a battle with esophageal cancer, he was suddenly afflicted with an untreatable brain cancer. He passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda June (Caudill) Pitts; father, Eula Pitts; and brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Robbins.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Pitts; his former wife, April Pitts; his sisters, Maria "Diane" (Pitts) Makarewich and Gloria (Pitts) Robbins; his daughters, Michelle "Mikki" (Pitts) Winquist and Cassandra "Cassie" (Pitts) Brooks; his stepdaughter, Shannon (Silverman) Nascimento; his grandchildren, Jaime, Christopher, Jeffrey, Toby, Remi, Lexi, and Nathan; and his great-grandchild, Raelynn.
