Louis R. Anderson, age 54, of Merrillville passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013. Louis is survived by one son Matt Anderson; one granddaughter Makenna; father Louis (Ruth Ann Smith) Anderson of Hammond; one brother Ray (Jeannie) Anderson of Hammond; three sisters Paula (Marty) Popagain of Griffith, Lou Anne “Sis” (Fred) Lowrance of Crown Point and Ramona (John) Griffith of Goodland, IN; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Louis was preceded in death by his mother Margaret E. Anderson. Funeral services will be held at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN on Wednesday, October 16 at 9:30 AM with Aaron Breford officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, October 15 from 3-8 PM. Louis was employed at G & N Aircraft in Griffith as an A & P Certified Mechanic.
