Mary Jameyfield, age 62, of Hammond, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Mary was born March 7, 1960. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Angela and Harold Jameyfield.
Mary was an accomplished musician/songwriter, vocalist, and musical mentor. She graduated from Purdue University Calumet with a master's degree in Nursing. She was employed as a Nurse Practitioner for Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. She played several instruments and was the Director of Music Ministry at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Hammond, IN, and Immaculate Conception/St. Joseph's Parish in Chicago, IL. She also directed music at several charismatic conferences that hosted over thousands of people. Mary was an avid Chicago baseball fan. She loved to travel to places like Canada, Alaska, and Colorado.
Mary is survived by her brother Sandy Jameyfield (Lisa); her dear friend Patty Skaritka. She was also survived by her nephews: Tad Jameyfield (Claire), Evan Jameyfield (Emily), Brendan Jameyfield (Caitlin), Mark Skaritka, Michael Skaritka, David Skaritka (Dana), and their children. She had a special musical relationship with her great nephew Joseph Skaritka.
A public visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 7132 Arizona Ave, Hammond, IN 46323. Following the public visitation will be a mass of christian burial at 10:00 AM.
