Born on June 14, 1939, Palmer lived in Lake Station, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife Louise Boyd; son, Dean P. Boyd; parents Carl and Fern Brown; brothers, Donald Boyd, Jim Boyd; great-granddaughter, Khloe Cornelius.
Survived by his daughters, Deborah Spencer (Bobby Spencer) of West Virginia and Diane Hall of Valparaiso, IN; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Palmer was a proud Marine, worked as a Millwright with Local 1043, and was an avid dirt track racer.
