Richard “Rick” Ortman age 55 of Highland, IN passed away May 1, 2016; he is survived by his wife Mary, three daughters Elizabeth ( Zach) Grubb, Stacey, and Steffanie Ortman, three grandchildren Emma, Kasen, Emersyn, one brother John (Kim) Ortman, parents Richard (Joan) Ortman, parents-in-law Philip (Marilynn) Anderson, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins. Funeral prayers will be held Thursday May 5th, 2016; 9:30 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home follow by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Catholic Church, Rev. Keith Virus officiating; with a private family burial. Friends may visit on Wednesday May 4th, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Rd (two blocks south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN. Rick loved to fish, target shoot, enjoyed grilling, he was an avid machinist, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to family which will be used for kidney cancer research.
