Steve M. Zachocki, age 78, of Griffith, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lorraine; son, Steven (Sunni) Zachocki of Dyer, IN; two grandchildren: Zachary and Zoe Zachocki both of Dyer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Steve was the last of 11 children. He was preceded in death by two brothers and eight sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Friends are invited to meet with the family Friday, December 13, 2013 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home. Mr. Zachocki retired from Verson Allsteel Press Company of Chicago, IL with 16 years of service. He was a lifetime member of Club Tamulac of Calumet City, IL.
