

Annie Lee was born in Tracy City, Tennessee and attended Winchester Catholic Academy Hundred Oaks, in Winchester, Tennessee. She lived on a dairy farm in Decherd, Tennessee, was a longtime resident of Miami, Florida before moving to the Hixson area in 1967. Annie Lee was a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her extended family and enjoyed traveling and visiting with relatives and friends.
Annie Lee was married to her late husband, Leland S. Coursey, Jr., for 49 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, George P. and Ethel V. Ellis; sisters, Virginia Barnes and Alta Smith; brothers, J. R. Ellis and Jimmy Ellis.
She is survived by her children, Ava (Ron) Connelly, Leland Steve (Faye) Coursey and Herb (Debra) Coursey; grandchildren, Billy Ray Coursey and Paige (Eric) Lyman; great grandchildren, Hayden James and Julianne Grace Lyman; sisters, Georgia Cookston and Margaret Birt; several nieces, nephews, friends and wonderful neighbors of 43 years.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the North Chapel in the Queen Anne room.
Services for Annie Lee will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Dallas Bay Baptist Church, 8305 Daisy Dallas Road, Hixson, Tennessee 37343 with Dr. David McNabb and Rev. Terry Winton officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Billy Coursey, Jim LeVan, Keith Boland, Bob Cabe, Jerry Hatcher and Sam Turner serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are J. T. Cordell, Joe Lewis, Sam McNabb, Buddy May, James Skiles and Glen Duggan.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
