Benjamin Corey Kirksey

Benjamin “Corey” Kirksey, age 33, passed away October 19, 2020 in Middleburg, Florida. Benjamin was born on August 13, 1987 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Phillip Carlton Kirksey and Amy Leigh Askew Jollay. He was a graduate of Soddy Daisy High School in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. Benjamin loved life, people, and having fun with his daughters. He enjoyed fishing, but most of all he enjoyed driving his car. Benjamin was a loving husband, son, father, grandson, brother, and friend; he will be deeply and sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Madelyn Kirksey; and his maternal grandparents, Johnny and Jean Askew.

He is survived by his mother and step-father Amy and Tim Jollay Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; father and step-mother Phillip and Carla Kirksey Hixson, Tennessee; wife, April Nichole “Nikki” Greene-Kirksey of Jacksonville, Florida; children Melody Albertini, Avari Greene, Elijah Brown, Paisley Greene, and Tinsley Kirksey, and his nephew, Isaiah Brooks, who Corey considered to be like his son; brother Daniel Jollay of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and uncle Jeff Askew of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; Dustin and Brittney Carpenter, and Michala Askew; (cousins) step-grandparents Ernest and Jean Jollay, Bobby and Pam Walls (aunt and uncle), Jordon Walls, Brannon Walls, Stratton Walls, and Pearson Walls (cousins) ; R.C and Shirley Kirksey Hixson Tennessee, Tina Kirksey Hixson TN (aunt), Ken and Carol Kirksey Knoxville, Tennessee (uncle and aunt).

Visitation services are scheduled from 2-5 Sunday November 8 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 TN 153, Hixson, Tennessee 37379. A memorial service will be Monday, November 9 at 3:00 in the chapel of the funeral home.
