Betty was born and raised in Chattanooga and was a 1945 graduate of Central High School. She was a former employee with DuPont and The Cellar Dress Shop. Betty was an active member of Memorial Baptist Church where she also sang in the choir. She was a member of the Regional Art Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burrell Reid Zeigler; her siblings, Robert Gilreath and Katherine Allen.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Joe) Bibler; grandchildren, Kevin and Sara Bibler; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 pm on Sunday and 9 to 9:30 am on Monday at the North Chapel on Highway 153 in Hixson.
Graveside services for Betty will be held at 10 am on Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Fate Thomas officiating, where she will be laid to rest by her late husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to Memorial Baptist Church now called The Gathering at 4445 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
