

Bob L. Ford, 75 of Chattanooga passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, having worked at Dixie Yarns, DuPont, was a partner and retired from Walter Champion Company.
Bob was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He was also a member of the Exchange Club and Volunteer at the Aquarium. He enjoyed yard work and his fish pond that he designed and built. He was an avid fan of TN Volunteer Football and the Lady Vols.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Selmer Denver and Nan Prentice Ford.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years, Alice Amacher Ford; sons, Jeff A. (Lora) Ford and Todd (Elaine) Ford, two granddaughters, Heather Kuykendall and Alexis Ford, great granddaughter, Camden Kuykendall, great grandson, Gage Kuykendall all of Chattanooga.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm Sunday, May 6, at the North Chapel.
Services will be held 2:30 pm Monday, May 7, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Steelman and the Rev. Bert Jones officiating. Entombment will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKamey Animal Adoption & Care Center, 4500 N. Access Road, Chattanooga, TN 37415, Tennessee Aquarium, One Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402, or Red Bank Baptist Church, 4000 Dayton Blvd., Chattanooga, TN 37415.
