

Bobbie Chancey Rutledge, age 94 of Chattanooga passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born November 16, 1917 in Campton, Georgia to the late Rufus and Minnie Chancey. She spent most of her adult life in Atlanta, Georgia before retiring to Cleveland, Georgia with her late husband, William Harold Rutledge.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland, Georgia and most recently attended Red Bank United Methodist Church.
Her son, William Anthony “Tony” Rutledge; brothers, Jack Chancey, Ted Chancey and Ned Chancey; and sister Mildred Chancey preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Ann Rutledge of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Chris (Rachel) Rutledge of Chattanooga; Susanna (Roy) Milner of Nashville; David Rutledge of Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Owen, and Sam Rutledge; Ashley and Katie Rutledge; Annie and Ella Milner; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Red Bank United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Lambert and Chaplain Christy Bonner officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
