Chelsea Emily Acacia Moran was born on May 16, 2006, in Hamilton County, and passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 19. She was a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and from the very beginning she carried a light that drew people close—she was so free-spirited and big-hearted, hard-working, and quick witted in the way she could turn an ordinary moment into one worth laughing about.
After introducing herself to the world, Chelsea became known for always having a smile on her face. She was playful and sarcastic, and regardless of the shortcomings in her life, she made sure to stay positive. She graduated in 2024 from Lakeview - Fort Oglethorpe High School, and she was currently taking college classes at Chattanooga State with the goal of becoming a vet tech, moving forward with steady determination and a clear sense of purpose.
Chelsea looked forward to every shift she worked at The Bread Basket, bringing her calm, collected, confident presence into each day. She had a way of making work feel lighter for the people around her, and she never forgot to enjoy the simple rewards—treating herself once a week to the best cheeseburger across the street at Treemont, a small tradition that fit her perfectly: practical, joyful, and fully her own.
A traveler in the ways that mattered most, Chelsea treasured time spent on the move and in the moment. Every summer, she would travel from up north to Chattanooga with her sister, and together they made the season count—spending time with their brothers hiking, swimming, seeing movies at the drive-in theater, and tubing down the river. Those days carried the kind of happiness that doesn’t need to be explained, only remembered.
Chelsea’s legacy is felt in the warm energy she brought into every room, in her contagious laughter, and in the steady resilience that helped her keep going even when life was difficult. She was a collector of all things beautiful—finding meaning in what others might overlook—and she stayed focused on keeping healthy, showing a strength that was both quiet and inspiring. Though her time was far too short, the love she gave, the joy she sparked, and the brightness she insisted on carrying forward remain, uplifting all who were lucky enough to know her.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Roberta Moran and cousin, Rance Neal.
