He was born and raised in North Georgia and spent a large part of his adult years in the Atlanta area.
Chuck was a proud Vietnam veteran, and he served in both the Georgia Highway Patrol and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
He had a wealth of funny stories from his public service years.
Chuck was a Christian and a wonderful, devoted husband.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda Gail Smith.
There will be no services for Chuck.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
