Claudia Elizabeth Ford

Claudia has lived in an Orange Grove residential home for over 30 years. She was a member of Abba’s House and attended the Sonshine Class. Claudia loved life and was truly a people person, greeting everyone with a warm smile and kind word.

Her parents, John and Mary Bell Ford, preceded her in death.

Claudia is a survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary K. and Herman Sledge and Linda Gail and Melvin Smith. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Lisa and Billy Newell, Sonny and Sherry Sledge, Amy and Jerry Harris and Jason and Jessica Traylor; 8 great-nieces and nephews, one great-great niece and a special Uncle, Charles Evitt.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Friday and 10:30 to 11:30 am on Saturday at the North Chapel.

Services for Claudia will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday at the North Chapel with Rev. Joe Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Orange Grove Residential Program, 615 Derby Street, Chattanooga, Tn. 37404, in care of Mrs. Ruth Toon.

The family expresses it deepest appreciation to her House Manager, Connie Miller, and all those at Orange Grove who so lovingly cared for her down through the years. Also, special appreciation is expressed for the caring and dignified manner in which she was cared for by Hospice of Chattanooga during her illness.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
