She was born to Donald and Norine McCarty on August 5, 1955 in Canton, OH. Debbie graduated from Marlington High School in 1973. She went on to marry Larry Knam on May 10, 1975. Debbie worked for WOAC 67 for 5 years in Ohio before the company relocated her to Chattanooga in 1986. She spent over 40 years with the company before she retired. Debbie was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Debbie is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Larry Knam and parents, Donald Jr. and Norine McCarty.
Survivors include daughter, Brenda (Ryan) McEntyre; son, Bryan (Jillian) Knam; grandkids, Hayden Knam, Easton McEntyre, Mason Knam, Ellisyn McEntyre, and Haleigh Cosey; sister, Bonnie Willard of Winter Haven, FL; and brother, Kevin McCarty of Youngstown, OH.
A graveside service for Debbie will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:00 am at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
