Doris DeBord, 92, of Hixson died Monday, June 6, 2016. She was born August 02, 1923 in Pikeville, Tennessee to the late Hobart Hatfield and Easter Hixson Hatfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil DeBord; sisters, Burmah, Marguerite, Rita, and Patsy; brothers, Bill, Boots and Radius.
She was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church where she served in the library for many years.
Survivors include her children, Ronald Neil (Connie) DeBord, Jean N. (Wayne) Dunham, and Timothy Joe (Edie) DeBord; sisters, Betty Estes and Mary Ann Campbell; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday June 10 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend David McNabb officiating. Interment will follow in the John M. Hixson Cemetery in
Dunlap, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 Thursday.
