She was employed with DuPont for 25 years, enjoyed many years of bowling with friends, and was a long-time member of the Highland Plaza Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Donald Shirley; parents, Marvin and Mammie Belk; aunt, Kate Belk-Cline.
She is survived by her sister, Lois (Kenton) Champion; nephew, Kenneth (Sharon) Champion; great-niece, Karen (Ronnie) Green; cousin, Billie (Bill) Hill and family all of Marion County, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the North Chapel with Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
