Edith S. Kennedy

She was born in Section, Alabama to her late parents, Bill and Clater. Edith was a member of Central Baptist Church for over 50 years and currently a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. She was a 4th grade Sunday School teacher for 14 years and enjoyed singing in the choir. Edith loved traveling and spending time with her family and special friends on cruises and trips to Florida.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Floyd; son, Bruce and two brothers.

Edith is survived by her children, Scott and Greta; grandchildren, Liz (Jay) and Josh (Morgan); 3 great grandchildren; a brother and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to 2 pm on Tuesday, November 4, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life service for Edith will follow at 2 pm on Tuesday at the North Chapel with Dr. Sam Greer officiating.
