Edna “Nanny” Foster Casteel, 84, of Chattanooga went to stand with Jesus Saturday, January 3, 2015 in a local hospital. Edna was a faithful member of Red Bank Church of Christ for over 60 years. She was retired from Miller Brothers Department Store where she served as an administrator.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles Robert Casteel. She is survived by her daughters, Charlene (Jack) Slatton and Beverly (Walter) Jones; son Ed (Iris) Casteel; 7 grandchildren, Cathy Weaver, Jeff Slatton, Amy Stewart, Chris Jones, Mike and Eric Casteel, and Barbara Stubblefield; and 11 great grandsons.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 8:00 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at North Chapel with Steve Lusk, Kevin Weaver, and Tommy Stone officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
