Edna Mae Parrott passed away at her home on Thursday, December 19, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born November 9, 1943 in Hixson, TN. She was married 56 years to her loving and caring husband Lamarr Parrott. Edna Mae was a graduate of Hixson High School and Mackenzie Business School. She has two children Kimberly (Dwayne) Hickman and Stacey Parrott, two grandchildren Holly Hickman and Kayne Hickman.
Edna retired from S&H Erectors, Inc. after over three decades of service. She loved her work and family. In retirement she enjoyed listening to music, watching TV and spending time with her family. She loved getting to spend time laughing and enjoying the company of her family and pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Nora Harvey, brother Henry (Barbara) Harvey, sister Catherine (Johnny) Johnson. She loved her sister Frances (Ronald) Johnson, brothers EC (Barbara) Harvey, Bobby (Connie) Harvey, and Edwin Harvey. Included are several nieces and nephews across a large family.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Monday, December 23, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tom Shoemate officiating. Interment will follow the service in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday, at the funeral home.
