Mr. Hurley was born in Fayetteville, NC, on August 13, 1927 to the late Edward Harrison Hurley Sr. and Marjorie Page Hurley. Ed served our country on the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Randolph in the Mediterranean Sea during WW II. Ed was a member of Abba’s House Southern Baptist Church in Hixson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carole Hurley, daughter Sundy Dalton, and sister Lydia Lee Cobb.
He is survived by sons; Edward Harrison Hurley III (Butch) and wife Annie of Fayetteville, NC, Mark Hurley and wife Sue of Cameron, NC, Ted Osborn and wife Pamela of Boulder, CO and Jim Osborn and Jennifer of Tacoma, Washington; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 4 to 7 pm. A chapel service will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 2:30 pm. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Garden Cemetery.
