Evelyn was a longtime member of Brainerd Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Chester W. Gill and Robert Stone; children, Charles W., John W., and Paul R. Gill; granddaughter, Rachel Evelyn Gill.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Ruth (Don) Harmon and James (Mary Ann) Gill; grandchildren, Charles and Lisa Gill, Donna Gill (Rick) Davis, Mark M. and Christy Gill, Joe Harmon, and Angela Ruth Gill (John Belcher); great grandchildren, Brandon and Bailey Davis, and Anna Bradford and Sadie Margaret Belcher.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, July 27, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with her grandson Mark officiating.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
