She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. Frances attended White Oak Baptist Church and was a member of the Ester Sunday School Class. She worked at Davenport Silk Mill for several years and then Frances managed the Miller Brothers Company Photograph Studio for Thirty one years before retiring in 1973. She loved her job photographing babies and high school year book photos and she just love people.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Holder and Coke Bowman; parents, Frank and Ellen Hope; siblings, Roy and Dewey Hope and Mildred Oakey.
Frances is survived by her son, Carl Holder; brother-in-law, Gordon Oakey and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday and again from 1 to 2 pm on Thursday at the North Chapel.
Graveside services for Frances will follow at 2 on Thursday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Dr. Fred Steelman officiating.
