Frances Hunt Chapman, 94, of Chattanooga passed away on November 30, 2017. She was born and raised in Lavonia, Georgia. Frances was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia. She was a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church, Chattanooga and currently a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Frances was also a member of Home Economists In Homemaking and longtime volunteer at Erlanger.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Bruce Dunlap Hunt and Horace Chapman; sisters, Louise Beale and Emma Lee Graham; and grandson, Eric Barton Eatherly.
She is survived by her children, Emily (Paul) Perrine, Nancy Follis and John (Althea) Hunt; grandchildren, Todd (Teresa) Grainger, Martha Beavers and Michael (Kelly) Hunt, great-grandchildren, Luke Grainger and Ruby Beavers and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Rd #102, Chattanooga, TN 37421 or Bethel Bible Village, 3001 Hamill Rd, Hixson, TN 37343.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5 from 11 am to 12:30 pm with a Funeral Service following after at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Bill Harvey officiating. A graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2 pm.
