Frances S Murray

Frances was born in Goodlettsville, Tennessee on September 1, 1934, to the late Wilbur “Dick” and Ruby Huffine Shreeve. She was a 1952 graduate of Hixson High School where she was a member of the F.H.A., Beta Club, played basketball and volleyball and was on the Paper Staff her senior year. Frances was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was employed part time with The Dollar General Store in the early 1980’s. Frances was a professional seamstress, loved to cook and enjoyed the flowers from her garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles “C.W.” Murray; step-mother, Mable Amick Shreeve.

Frances is survived by her children, Margaret Murray – Evans and husband Jim Evans, Lynne Murray Koby and husband Stan and Jennifer Murray Somerset and husband John; granddaughter, Erin R. Evans; several nieces, nephews and Frances was an adopted grandmother to Savannah Haynes.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, Sept. 1, and 8:30 to 9:30 am on Tuesday at the North Chapel.

Services for Frances will be held at 9:30 am Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Minister Steve Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
