

Frank A. Coulter, Sr., 90, formerly of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 6, 2012. He was born in Graysville, TN and had lived in Chattanooga for 82 years before moving to Hendersonville, TN to be near his son and family.
Frank graduated from Hixson High School in 1939 and served his country in the South Pacific during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church, where he served in numerous capacities, including Head Usher for over 30 years. He retired from Noland Company after 28 years of service.
Frank was preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years, Florence Hixson Coulter, second wife of 9 years, Margaret Goodson Coulter, father, James Bruce Coulter, mother, Maggie Brewer Coulter, brothers, Brewer Coulter and Johnson Coulter, and sister, Katherine Coulter Moore.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Frank, Jr. and Linda Turner Coulter of Hendersonville, TN; two grandsons, Scott Coulter of New York, NY and Brian Coulter of Hendersonville, TN; two brothers, Walter Coulter of Graysville, TN and Jim Coulter of Hixson, TN, and a sister, JoAnn Coulter of Red Bank, TN.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 and from 6 until 8 pm on Wednesday and from 11 am until 1 pm Thursday at the North Chapel.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, August 9 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Gooden officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
