Gail Padgett Hales

She was of the Christian faith and attended Delray Baptist Church. Gail was a wonderful hard-working nurse of 30+ years. She enjoyed music, dancing, and taking vacations with her husband Rick, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Gail was heavily devoted to her family, constantly reminding them “At the end of the day family is all you’ve got.” She enjoyed the family holidays the most, where she showcased her incredible cooking skills. To know Gail was to love her, and once she loved you, you became a part of her family.

Gail was preceded in death by her mother Inez, and her brother David, and Katie Smith (whom she loved like her own daughter).

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years Rick Hales; sons, Kenny Dalton (Dana), Timothy Parker, and Glenn Bell (Lauren), Tyler Hales (Tanya); grandchildren, Jessica Bell (Jeritt Kelly), Taylor Daniel (Dewayne), Timothy Parker (Jasmine), Tristen Parker, and Jacob Dalton; great-grandchildren, Linley, Jaycee, Jackson, Jameson, Isabella and Jemma. Her brother, Jim Padgett; niece Brooke Wilson, and nephew Homie Neal, she is also survived by the many friendships she made over the years of her life.

We love you so very much Nana and we will miss you. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to our family. May your soul rest in peace. We will see you again one day.

Funeral services will be held on Monday October 21 2024 at 1:00 PM, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Brother Lavonne Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time at North Chapel.
